Choose how deep you go with each video (Focus Mode vs Flow Mode)
Live for everyone, right now.
Every video now works two ways. Flow is watching the way you always have: subtitles and taps whenever you want them. Focus takes one video at a time and slows it down on purpose, you hear a line before you see it, say whether you followed it, and only then get help: captions, then a translation under just the words that are new to you, then a quick check so it sticks. Switch between the two any time, right from the video, and the close-up tools, looping a line, slowing it down, tapping a word for its meaning, live here now.
We kept hearing the same thing from learners: watching is fun, but on its own it does not always turn into learning, especially early on. So instead of inventing our own method, we borrowed the sequence from people who study how listening skills actually form: ear first, help only when you ask for it, one small check before you move on.
